College Manor is a family oriented
community that is located on the north side of Mulock Dr. in
the town of Newmarket, between Leslie St. and Bayview Ave. There are
about 980 homes built in the early 1990's in the College Manor Community.
The northern
edge of the community is a treed ravine buffer with stream and the
western edge looks onto the grounds of Pickering College, a private
co-ed school.
There is a Public Elementary and a Public High School within the
community as well as a Salvation Army Church and on it's eastern
perimeter sits the Newmarket Theatre, where plays, musicals,
concerts and local talent are an ongoing source of community
entertainment. Fronting onto Mulock
is a small commercial complex that boasts a Tim Horton's, Vince's Fruit & Grocery Market, drug
store and various other conveniences. Access to 404 Hwy South is just 2
minutes away, making this area a favourite with downtown commuters.
The Neighbourhood is in a
great location with the new Magna Sports Centre across
Mulock Dr. from the Neighbourhood. The sports Centre has 4
hockey rinks, 2 swimming pools (including an area for
toddlers and babies) meeting rooms, full fitness,
restaurant, walking track and pro shop.
Walking trails in the surrounding conservation greenspace,
parks with playground equipment for the children and Newmarket Theatre adjacent on the east side.
The Homes in College
Manor consist of town-homes, links, semis and detached,

while the semis range from $329,000 to $360,000

This Site is dedicated to the
Memory of
Brandyn Miller
To
all the people that use this Neighbourhood Web Site.
Your Site was developed by Brandyn Miller while he was awaiting a
Heart/Lung Transplant at age 25. He created this and
other neighbourhood sites as a start to a business, and a
thought to his future, once he received those long
awaited organs.
On
May 16th, 2005 we got the call that they had
his new organs available. He went into his surgery with a
happy grin and total belief that he would wake up with a
new future. He fought long and hard to stay with us.
On Tuesday, May 17th, 2005, he lost that fight.
Your web site will continue, with the help of his techie
friends as a legacy and tribute to:
“My Brave Son”, Brandyn.
Thank you all for making his project successful and giving
him such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment and
community involvement.
PLEASE continue to help make this site grow, in honor of Brandyn. It will continue where he could not.
